Tara and Jeff are theater artists who live in Bed-Stuy*. On the last day of 2016 I took the C-train a couple stops to meet them at their apartment and take some pics. When Tara and I talked about the shoot, she asked if I would take photos of them doing everyday tasks. Murder She Wrote was watched, texts were answered, and emails sent. I discovered that lap tops and refrigerators are excellent light sources and that it helps to have fog machines lying around your apartment (#showprops). I always get a little more nervous/excited/humbled than usual when asked to take photos for friends who I truly admire as artists (and also as wonderful people). I loved collaborating with Tara and Jeff on these photos, and I am excited to make some more photos with them in September at their wedding.
