Photographing early morning neighborhood walks might be my favorite way to do engagement/portrait sessions. Honestly I sometimes struggle a bit with engagement sessions. At times I’ve found myself in a random field at golden hour thinking, why am I here. I like shooting (*photographing…..awkward photographer lingo) in places that have meaning to the couple. I often think how much I would love it if I had pics of my parents in their first apartment. Of course, in Caitlin and Peter’s case, it doesn’t hurt when you live in one of the most idyllic neighborhoods in NYC. When I met up with them this summer they mentioned that they might be moving to the UWS this fall. I loved making these pics for them in this home and I’m so excited to head to Bryant Park tomorrow for their wedding. (and also, of course, to have some more hang time with their dog – Laszlo!)
