John and Kristen’s classic New York City wedding took place on a gorgeous summer day at the Loeb Boat House in Central Park. I was incredibly excited for this wedding because John is actually a friend of mine from my first job in New York. Having previously met many of John’s groomsmen and family members at various birthdays I knew it was going to be a stylish and spirited evening.
The ceremony was held at St. Paul the Apostle, a couple blocks from the bride and groom’s apartment. Kristen was stunning in her Jenny Yoo gown with gold Jimmy Choo’s, and John’s custom navy tux complete with Burberry cufflinks and bow tie was fantastic. After the mass, and a visit from John and Kristen’s adorable dog Shea, we took a cab over to Central Park. In true New York fashion we had to briefly haggle with the police to let us in the park. Never a dull moment in this city. Walking through some of the most iconic areas of the park listening to John and Kristen cracking jokes just as the sun was setting was a dream come true. I love working in the city and listening to passerby’s shouting congratulations or simply staring in awe, and John and Kristen had countless admirers.
A gondola entrance to the boathouse, fantastic music from Hank Lane, hilarious and heartfelt toasts, a delicious desert table including the classic New York City black and white cookie, and a beautiful couple in love completed this unforgettable night.
Kristen and John, you threw a gorgeous wedding and I can’t thank you enough for letting me be a part of your day. Congratulations!
