Stephanie and Christian were married last October at The Green Building in Brooklyn. Their original date was July 2, 2020. However, with half of the guest list coming from Australia (Stephanie’s home), they made the decision to postpone the wedding and throw a mini wedding in October. Their roommate, Christian’s parents, and childhood best friend were the only other people in attendance. Though extension cords, cameras, and boom microphones typically don’t scream romance, I found their ceremony to be peak romance and sincerity. Christian works in film, and was able to coordinate an incredibly impressive set up including a live stream, with additional video, and friends and family calling in to give toasts from Australia and California. The room felt full. There were at least 4 different time zones in attendance for this evening October wedding. I know this was not the wedding they envisioned, but it felt pretty perfect in the moment. Much love to these two.
(The New York Times also had a bit to say about this beautiful love story, if you’re curious to learn more about this duo.)
